You're welcome at SHIP regardless of your HIV/AIDS status, age, gender, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. The Program is for those concerned with HIV/AIDS. There are no fees for services.

CONFIDENTIAL HIV TEST SITE: SHIP, in partnership with UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School has established a free and confidential HIV counseling and testing site at SHIP. Testing, prevention, education, and counseling services are provided every second and fourth Wednesday and by other arranged times. These testing includes pre and post-test counseling according to the guidelines of the State Department of Health. Staff uses the 20 minute OraQuick Rapid HIV-1 & 2 Antibody Test.
SERVICE ELIGIBILITY
Services are available on demand. All clients are eligible to apply for all SHIP's programs and services
CONFIDENTIALITY
All information is confidential. Participants are never asked to disclose their health status or other personal information. All information and group participation is strictly confidential and is never disclosed or shared.
EMPOWERMENT
We do not prescribe specific HIV treatments. Instead, we encourage members to discover their options and, with the advice of licensed physicians, implement the best course of action.
REFERRALS
Referrals are provided as needed.
POSITIVE SUPPORT
Our programs are designed to address HIV and other issues in an uplifting, problem-solving way. We seek solutions and the best available answers.
INVOLVEMENT
We welcome your participation. Your talents can be put to good use through direct participation in appropriate activities while helping yourself and/or others.
FEES
SHIP HAS NEVER CHARGED ANY CLIENT FOR ANY SERVICE PROVIDED.
DONATIONS
Our HIV/AIDS services are not funded by outside sources. They are only supported thru your donations.
Gifts are accepted to honor the memory of, or to pay tribute to, a friend or loved one whom has been affected by HIV or AIDS.
SHIP is a Tax Exempt 501-C-3 agency. All contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
